Parents/Carers meet one evening per month. Books are provided by SureStart to all members.
The benefits of reading are:-
Reduces Stress :- Reading can lower blood pressure and heart rate
Aids with Sleeping:- Reading a book (not e-book) as part of your night time routine is a signal to your body to wind down.
Reading helps to slow down the decline in memory and brain function as it keeps our brain sharper for longer.
Fact:- Studies demonstrate that those who exercise their brains with activities such as reading and/or puzzles are 2.5 times less likely to develop Alzheimer’s Disease
