
About Us
Sure Start South Armagh is a local project for families with at least one pre-school child or mother, fathers to be. Sure Start offer a FREE range of services designed to deliver the best start in life for every child. Sure Start promotes partnership working between statutory, voluntary and community sectors and parents to promote the physical, intellectual and social development of babies and young children so that they can flourish at home and when they get to school.
Sure Start South Armagh provides support for families, the 3 aims of the project are to:
- improve the ability to learn by encouraging stimulating play, improving language skills and the early identification and support of children with learning difficulties;
- improve health by supporting parents in caring for children and promoting children’s health and development;
- improve social development by supposing the development of early relationships between parents and children and good parenting skills

We can support your family in a way that suits you, all our programme are held in your local area, so if you are pregnant, have recently had a baby or have a child under 4 or new to the area then why not get in touch, we would love to hear from you.

Our Services
Sure Start South Armagh encourages feedback on existing services and ideas for developing new services. We are a community led project with programmes designed to reflect and respond to local needs. The project welcomes parents involvement.

Our Videos
Sure Start South Armagh are delighted to add a new video feature to our Web Site. On this section we hope to give you a flavour of our programmes and some simple how to videos on Baby Massage/Baby Reflexology as well as video tutorials on Home Made Play including how to make Play Dough and some simple Art and Craft ideas.

Parental Support and Services Services
All our Parenting and Health Promotion programmes are delivered in a non judgmental friendly and relaxed atmosphere - all parents, carers and grandparents are welcome to attend. Programme include Incredible Years, Solihull Approach, Speech and Language Services.

Health Visiting & Midwifery
Sure Start South Armagh multi disciplinary staff team are always on hand before and after the birth of your baby to offer additional advice and support and to signpost you and your family to other services. The Health Visiting and Midwifery team also deliver home based services to help families start strong.
